Barbados Council for the Disabled is a registered charity, established since 1976 to promote the education, training, employment and welfare of persons with various disabilities. BCD functions as an umbrella body partnering with all sectors of the community and international agencies. Their reach covers a wide cross-section of persons, both disabled and non-disabled and the organisation’s goal is geared to effect change and champion the rights of all persons with disabilities to ensure their full and effective integration into society. Kerryann’s indomitable spirit is both an inspirational and motivational factor for the organisation and its members.
