Volunteering with The ASPIRE Incubator Programme
The annual ASPIRE Incubator Programme connects 7 high-impact social purpose organisations in Barbados with business support, seed funding and governance certification over a 12-month period.
Our ASPIRE Incubator Programme Volunteers drive the ASPIRE Incubator programme.
This practical initiative helps highly skilled business professionals boost their social impact, and companies to engage employees through pro-bono opportunities. Professionals and corporates are given a structured opportunity to engage their communities by donating their time and expertise to non-profits and social purpose organisations in the ASPIRE Incubator Programme.
These are long term, committed volunteer roles, whereby the volunteers act as mentors and leaders in our ASPIRE Incubator Programme.
About ASPIRE Barbados:
ASPIRE Foundation Barbados Inc., known as ASPIRE Barbados, is a non-profit organisation founded in Barbados in 2015.
Our purpose is to strengthen the non-profit ecosystem to improve the sustainability of charities, non-profits and social enterprises that change lives.
Ultimately, we are working to help strengthen the local third sector, which includes diverse social purpose organizations meeting critical social needs.
The ASPIRE Incubator Programme
The ASPIRE Incubator Programme guides social leaders and their organisations through a quality improvement process in 6 fundamental business areas, to help them strengthen stakeholder trust, organisation infrastructure, collaboration and increase their readiness for financial and non-financial capital.
Social purpose organisations that graduate from the ASPIRE Incubator Programme are more self-sufficient and in a stronger position to access capital from the donor community and social investors.
Organisations that successfully complete the programme also become certified, demonstrating that the organisation adheres to ASPIRE Barbados’ standards of excellence and therefore, is in compliance with international non profit and business best practices.
The first 14 non-profit organisations graduated the programme in 2020. ASPIRE Barbados works with 7 organisations per year.
