PAREDOS is a non-profit organisation formed in 1968 to address many challenges facing parents and families, through education in all aspects of child-rearing practices applicable to our society. In their efforts to build strong, cohesive communities one family at a time, PAREDOS opened the Bertie Graham Early Childhood Education Unit in 2001, which houses the PAREDOS Day Care Centre and Pre-School serving over 60 students and families annually. The experiences and guidance children receive during this critical stage of growth can set the tone for adult behaviors which have a significant effect on national development. PAREDOS programming, including parenting classes and counselling support, aim to educate parents so they can positively impact the lives of their children and change the society in which we live. Cecily’s fine arts background and extensive media experience enables the development of creative solutions and effective communication within the PAREDOS team as well as to beneficiaries.
